Overcast sky, cool of only 3 C with a light breeze, The kit had active individuals, but managed to put three breaks on the board. Tony had lost his NO.1 kit two days before the fly and had to make up another one for competition. As a result the kit lacked chemistry and shut it off in the second half of the fly.

Clear, blue skies. The kit went to a nice altitude and as soon as he called time in, there appeared the sky shark and started harassing the kit. Needles to say, the kit was all over the sky, trying to run for their lives. After several attempts, the falcon caught one and went away, but two minutes later a second one came and also caught one. So much for the competition fly... Bad luck.

Clear and calm, 85 degrees.  Team went to a nice height and stayed in our face. They kitted tight and showed good team chemistry, nice clean smooth roll with no out birds. They scored all their points the first 10 minutes then got on the right wing the rest of the time with a few non scorable breaks.   A nice kit with teamwork and chemistry that has good potential should they work the whole time in the finals! Jerry has been showing great potential since he joined our group and great to see his team do well for him on fly day! Congratulations Jerry!!!

Clear and calm, 75 degrees.   This kit came out and started working very well.   Started going a little high and after 9 minutes got a little squirrelly and loose kitting that ended the scoring.  Two birds down at just under 18 minutes.  Don had burned the birds out leading up to the fly, not the type of mistake a veteran flyer should me making if he wants to compete for the championship!

Clear and calm,  90 degrees.  This kit showed great quality spin with some nice breaks. Timing was just a little off.   Birds flew a nice height and looked like the heat may affect them and land at about the 13 minute mark but they went back up and continued to show quality spin. Willie is working hard with his birds and his birds have always shown good quality. This team has great potential with impressive spin.  Once they get their timing down watch out! Nice job Willie!

Clear and calm, 75 degrees. Young bird team that had some nice spinners in it and has potential. Birds did good for about 10 minutes then got on the right wing and stopped scoring. Richard is in college and working full time so he does not get a lot of time to spend in the backyard with the birds!

Clear and calm,  85 degrees. Kit went a little high before settling down and were out of judging range for awhile but working up there. Some nice spinners in this group and would have scored better if they stayed down the whole time. Dale had been under the weather leading up to the fly but flew to support the group. Good spin here and good potential as he continues to show improvement each time we fly.  He has good stock and he is breeding em up and flying em!

Clear and calm, 80 degrees. Kit of mixed ages that came out flying a little fast and then started working once they settled down but were short in the roll on some breaks. Birds showed the affects of recent aerial attacks as a black bird flew by em and spooked em. Several nice spinners. George continues to face the challenge of a work schedule that does not allow him much time to fly his birds. Hopefully this will change for him as time goes on as he has nice birds and is a key part or our group here in Southern Nevada.

Clear and hot at 92 degrees. Team kitted well and showed a number of good individual spinners in the group. Mix and match kit as Vinson is starting his second year with our group. He takes tremendous pride in his loft setup, kit boxes, and record-keeping. Took a hodge podge of birds given to him and flew them to support our group. To have them up and kitting shows Vinson is on the right track on flying birds and he has several young teams in the air that we look forward to seeing next year. Vinson is a great addition to our group and we are glad to have him!

16

Clear and bright 92 degrees.  Birds showed some good individual spin but a few out birds and second bird down at the 13 minute mark. Was getting hot and very bright sky that birds did not seem to like much. Marvin is another of our group that continues to show improvement and does whatever he can to support us. Tough predator season cut his numbers but he has got his young bird teams bred up and flying and continues on the right path. We can always count on Marvin for our flys.

Clear, hot 92 degrees.  Don had high hopes for this team but one bird rolled down on release and another dropped out of the kit after a few breaks and never rejoined them.  They landed at the 12 minute mark so second bird down. Don did not do this team the justice they deserved on fly day!

Clear and bright 92 degrees. Art has been hit hard this winter and put up a group to support the fly. Art has some good smooth rollers and this is his third time flying with us. We appreciate his support of the fly and he has his young teams up and flying to get primed for our fly season!
